Our Alpine cuisine: The taste of the mountains!
Alpine cuisine has a few essential ingredients. Authentic Styrian food + excellent views. Because Alpine cuisine means this: We cook with the best that our local nature has to offer and serve it to you at our Brandalm hut at over 1,600 metres above sea level, where you can sense the difference in the mountain air. Pure. Fragrant. Unforgettable. Try our family recipes, such as the hearty beef stew, dumplings with real Styrian cheese, homemade strudel, or farmer’s “krapfen” doughnuts. Head up the mountain!

Our popular “krapfen” doughnut weeks
A special highlight of Ramsau are its delicious farmer’s “krapfen”. Wheat or rye – farmers have always used the grain that grows best in their fields. Our popular “krapfen” weeks at Brandalm take place every year from 1 October to All Saints’ Day, from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. every day. Whether they’re meat-filled “krapfen”, rye “krapfen” with Styrian cheese, or honey-filled … let yourself be enchanted by the rural Alpine delights and the blaze of autumnal colours at the foot of Mt Dachstein.
